2024 Christmas Market
The 2024 Johnsonville Rotary Christmas Market took place on Saturday 30th November 2024 at Johnsonville Shopping Center car park Over 40 stalls booked were there selling a wide range of gifts. The Johnsonville Christmas Market returns today - Saturday 30th November between 10:00am and 2:30pm. Location is right next to the entrances to the Johnsonville Shopping Centre via the main car park. Toot 4 Tucker 2024
Johnsonville Rotary is pleased to confirm our 2024 Toot 4 Tucker Collections will be on Tuesday 12th November and Tuesday 19th November in Johnsonville and Churton Park respectively. The collections run from 6:15pm until approximately 7:30pm. As usual we will be joined with the Johnsonville Volunteer Fire Service walking the streets and collecting non perishable food to support Kiwi Community Assists Foodbanks. Mary Potter Street Appeal – 18 May 2024
On Saturday 18th May members and friends of the club will be collecting money on behalf of the Mary Potter Hospice Street Appeal at the New World Supermarket in Newlands throughout the day. Bletchley Park
On 11th March the club and guests had a presentation by Neil Haydon on Bletchley Park; the top-secret home of Britain’s World War Two Codebreakers. Neil outlined how Bletchley Park came to be set up and its work during World War 2 including breaking the German Military’s Enigma machine codes early in the war. He also explained how codebreakers were able to break the even more complex Lorenz machine later in the war and how all these successes probably shortened WW2 by 2 years

Educational Books for Pacific Islands
Johnsonville Rotary was pleased to assist in arranging the delivery of 60 cartons of reading books for Niue Primary Early Childhood development collected and donated by local resident, Jan Jones. New Zealander Jan Jones was inspired to collect the books after living in Rarotonga with her husband having taught there for many years. Robots at Newlands Intermediate
Johnsonville Rotary linked up with the Institute of Engineering and technology (IET) to run a successful Robots workshop at Newlands Intermediate School in September. Supporting Life Flight
On Sunday 6th August club members from Johnsonville joined members of Tawa Rotary to visit Life Flight’s base at Wellington Airport.
