Rotary Honours William Nobelen and Geoff Savell

On Monday 22 June, and after 18 years of dedicated service, William Nobelen has been recognised by Johnsonville Rotary with a Paul Harris Sapphire Pin in honour of his outstanding contribution to the club and recognise the positive impact he's made in the community. Since joining Rotary in 2008, William has played a leading role in countless initiatives, including the Healthy Heroes programme, which promotes healthy lifestyles for school children, and the club's Toot 4 Tucker food collection campaigns across Johnsonville, Churton Park and, most recently, Newlands.

Alongside his Rotary service, William has had a distinguished career as a funeral director and became a Justice of the Peace in 2016. A Paul Harris Fellow since 2017, he has also served as Rotary Club President on three occasions, leading the club through key periods and consistently demonstrating Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self."

At the meeting the club also honoured long-serving member Geoff Savell with a Paul Harris Sapphire Pin in recognition of more than 30 years of dedicated service. Since joining the club in 1995, Geoff has served as Club President on two occasions and was awarded a Paul Harris Fellow in 2007 for his contributions to Rotary and the local community. Known for his quiet leadership, expertise, and unwavering commitment to Rotary's motto of "Service Above Self," Geoff's remarkable milestone and lasting impact were celebrated with fellow members of the club.
